Joanna D. Brick is the founder of the firm. She is an admitted state attorney and court qualified mediator with a focus on matrimonial law. For more than 30 years she has worked in the legal field from interning to being a paralegal at some of the most prestigious New Jersey and New York Firms and also with New York City’s Administration of Children’s Services (ACS) where she prosecuted abuse and neglect cases.

After receiving her J.D. from New York Law School, Ms. Brick clerked for Hon. David J. Issenman, Superior Court of N.J., Ch. Div., Family Part – Union County, ret. Since clerking, Ms. Brick has worked at various known law firms until opening her own boutique practice. She provides personal attention with effective representation to her clients and their children.

Mrs. Brick previously volunteered with Partners for Women and Justice, Montclair, N.J., and the Battered Women’s Legal Advocacy Project (BWLAP), Morris County, N.J. She is licensed to practice before New Jersey State Courts, United States District Court of New Jersey and Supreme Court of New York. She has now been court qualified as a New Jersey Family Law Mediator along with being named a member of the State’s Ethics Committee.
